Hi I'm Aimey, the writer of apsxo. I started this blog in 2013 as an outlet for my almost damaging love for beauty products. Since then, it's grown in to a place where I talk about pretty much everything. It's a structured mess of life updates, recipes, photo diaries and, of course, beauty reviews.

As for me, it's rare you'll find me without a camera in my hand and an idea in my head. I absolutely love photography and I absolutely love that blogging has given me an opportunity to improve at it on a daily basis. Alternatively, if I'm not snapping a picture of something I'll be the one with a mojito - or several.

What's your skin type?
Mostly oily (sob) and occasionally combination.

Why are you a vegan?
For a multitude of reasons although mostly due to ethics. I try to keep it out of people's faces, especially on my blog, so don't worry if you're not into it - you won't hear much about it from me!
(unless you ask, but that's your fault!)

What camera do you use?
An Olympus E-PL5 with a 14-42mm II R Lens.

How do you edit your photos?
Photoshop! Pricey but the best. It's easy to use when you get the hang of it and when you're only using it to slightly retouch a picture of a lipstick or something you don't have to be able to do anything fancy. If I could give you any advice if you're struggling with picture quality, brightening will instantly make it look better. You don't want it to look too over exposed and washed out but a lighter, brighter image is always going to look more attractive.

Do you have any advice about starting a blog?
Complete cliché but I'll say it anyway, just be yourself. It's so much more appealing to read a post from someone with a personality. It's what draws people in and charms them into sticking around.

How do I contact you?
Email is preferable but the fastest way to get a hold of me is through Instagram direct message. You can find all of that information on my contact page.
Also please feel free to talk to me about anything, I'm always happy to have a chat.

I put a hell of a lotta love into my blog and I truly hope you enjoy having a look around.
I'll see you in my next post
